The Story

This collection began with a simple wish: to make a keycap of your own cat. The face you know so well, the familiar markings, the small details that make you think, 'Yes, that's my cat.' I wanted to give that face a place beside the things you do every day.

Some people come to a portrait with a different kind of wish. A customer whose cat had passed away hoped to keep that companionship nearby in miniature. There is room for that quiet remembrance here, too: a familiar face with a place in your day, however you choose to remember it.

Make It Yours ♡

Custom portraits are available in two levels:

  1. Custom Painting — Aka’s original cat sculpt is kept unchanged and hand-painted to match your cat’s coat colors and markings.
  2. Custom Painting + Slight Sculpt Edit — Includes custom painting plus a small sculptural modification, such as a minor facial or decorative detail.

Please provide three clear reference photos showing your cat’s face and markings. Different angles and natural lighting are especially helpful.

For major changes to the sculpt or a fully custom design, please use Aka’s Custom Commissions service instead.

Care Instructions

This artisan keycap is hand-painted and sealed with protective acrylic varnish. Please handle gently.

• Use a keycap puller and pull straight upward when removing.
• Clean gently with a soft brush, microfiber cloth, or a lightly dampened cloth.
• Avoid alcohol, acetone, solvents, harsh cleaners, and abrasive scrubbing.
• Do not soak or place in a dishwasher.
• Keep away from excessive heat and prolonged direct sunlight.
• Avoid dropping or pressing on delicate sculpted details.

The varnish helps protect the finish, but repeated friction or rough handling may gradually wear the painted surface.

Processing & Shipping

Ready-to-ship styles follow the processing time shown at checkout.

Custom-painted portraits are made to order and generally require approximately 1–2 weeks before shipment. Orders involving sculpt modifications or more complex markings may require additional time.

Because each custom portrait is painted individually from your reference photos, processing time may vary depending on the complexity of the design.
