The Story

Every kingdom needs its people. Mine happens to be full of cats. The Basics began as a family of small sculpted residents, each with a different coat, a familiar expression and a personality of its own. I make the original sculpture, cast the pieces and paint the cats individually, so the tiny differences become part of who they are.

The Cat King makes his home among them. In this little world, his crown comes with responsibility: ruling the kingdom, loving its residents and keeping watch over every feline citizen. Welcome one cat or gather a small crowd, and let your own corner of the kingdom take shape.

Product Details

Product: Handmade cat artisan keycaps from The Basics series.
Artist: Original design and handwork by Aka.
Process: Hand-sculpted original, mold-making, resin casting, individual painting and finishing.
Switch compatibility: Cherry MX switches.
Styles include Ginger, Golden British Shorthair, Calico, Siamese, Ragdoll, American Shorthair, Tuxedo, Solid Black, Grey Tabby, Sakura Cat, Metallic Alien Cat and Pseudo Cat.
Selections: Individual cats, named three-cat bundles, a nine-cat bundle, a full twelve-cat bundle and Customize.
Material and finish selections: Variation 1, Variation 2, Variation 3 and Variation 4.
Handmade character: Small differences in paint placement, brushwork and surface finish can occur.
Choose an individual cat or a listed bundle; purchase contents follow the selected option.

Care Instructions

This artisan keycap is hand-painted and sealed with protective acrylic varnish. Please handle gently.

• Use a keycap puller and pull straight upward when removing.
• Clean gently with a soft brush, microfiber cloth, or a lightly dampened cloth.
• Avoid alcohol, acetone, solvents, harsh cleaners, and abrasive scrubbing.
• Do not soak or place in a dishwasher.
• Keep away from excessive heat and prolonged direct sunlight.
• Avoid dropping or pressing on delicate sculpted details.

The varnish helps protect the finish, but repeated friction or rough handling may gradually wear the painted surface.

Custom-painted keycaps are made to order and generally require approximately 1–2 weeks before shipment.

Because each custom keycap is painted individually from your reference photos, processing time may vary depending on the complexity of the design.
