The Story

A note from Aka: the first batch of these turntables had already arrived when JIJI Studio asked me to wait. The artist could still see things to improve, and wanted to rework the components before the release. Only after those changes and a new round of making was the little record player ready to meet everyone.

That patience is part of why I wanted to share this piece. Look closely at the record, the tonearm and the tiny controls: a familiar music object becomes a miniature worth lingering over. For me, it also carries the care of someone who was willing to begin again.

Handmade From Start to Finish

The keycap is assembled from multiple resin components to form the turntable and its small details.
